Meagan: A newcomer

Hey guys!

My name is Meagan McKeen and I am a second-year Environmental Science student from Toronto (or Oakville, if you know the area!). I ran XC all through high school and in my first year, so that's definitely my strength. I've lifeguarded and taught swimming lessons for years, although never really raced in swimming. My biking skills consist of getting me to and from places on my mountain bike! I did my first "try-a-tri" this summer and totally loved it!

My goal: do the UBC Tri sprint distance in the spring!

I am really looking forward to getting to know you all better as we train together. I find that you learn so much about people when you push yourselves together. It's really an amazing phenomenon.

welcome meagan! way to rock it out at the run last Wednesday! we won't be having a mountain bike ride next weekend b/c its Canadian Thanksgiving...but the following week we'll have a mountain/hybrid bike group being led by either Derrick or Rachel...more about that later!
