Triple Crown/Century Ride

Post by Ceilidh on Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:56 pm

Over the summer there was a century ride including 3 mountains (cypress, seymour and baker) which I happened to miss. So I am heading out on a repeat of the same course on October the 16th (a Saturday) leaving from in front of the tri club office between 10:00 and 10:30. If the weather is crappy I will do a shorter route or possibly cancel the event entirely but if you are interested in a longer ride in reasonable weather feel free to come out. If there is enough interest in a shorter ride a second group can come with us and break off earlier.

My mistake, I will attempt to put a map of the route up over the weekend.

I think we should include baker. Yes.

I like how you comment on your own posts. I would be up for a separate ride to Baker on separate weekend.

As for a map of the route I have made an outline of where I plan to go (http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/ca/bc/greater%20vancouver%20a/108128614629863210). It only says 93 miles but that excludes an 8 mile ride back to the club office once the ride finally loops back on itself at stanley park.

Well everyone who was doing the normal tri club ride out to Iona left the club office at 9:15ish. Ceilidh was the one doing (or thinking about doing) triple crown so I don't know what happened. Maybe he didn't go.
